For maintaining accounts book/ data in Tally, the first thing is to create a company. In this tutorial we will learn “how to create a company in Tally”. Due to the multiple features of Tally we can maintain more than one business accounting at single Tally cost. It’s license is also available in Single User and Multiple User, as the name is indicating that in Single User licese only one user can work on Tally at a time and in Multiple User licese more than one users can work at the same time.
Following the simple below given steps we can create a company:
- Open Tally from Desktop icon or form window start bar.
2. Click on Create Company or press “C” .
3. First of all select the location where you want to keep your data.
4. Write the name of the company at the place of “Name”.
5. Write the Company name at “Mailing Name”.
6. Write the Address of the company at “Address”.
7. Select the Financial Year (financial year starts from 1, April and ends on 31, March)
8. Select Yes “use security control” and select a user name “Name of Administrator” and “Password”, write the same password at “Repeat Password” (If you want to set password to access the Tally data otherwise keep it as no)
9. Keep setting in “Base Currenty Information” of your choice as per requirement.
10. Press enter and save data.
Now your new company has created and you can start posting vouchers, bank entries, generating invoices, etc.
