In this tutorial, we will learn how to create stock gruop in tally. In business, we basically deal in sale/service and purchase. These items can be in the form of row material, semi finished, finished goods. To Manage the stock in better way, stock group are very helpfull. Knowledge of how to create stock group in tally is must to work smoothly.
For example, we are dealing in Bike Trading, it becomes very important to know to current status of stock. We can create group Product Type, Variant and Colour wise. How many Bikes with Type/Variant/colour are available in stock. Regular watch of stock help us to maintain the inventory.
In this tutorial, we will learn how to create groups and sub groups.
Follow below steps to Create the Stock Group:Gateway of Tally → Inventory Info → Stock Groups → Single Stock Group → Create
1. Click on Create.
2. Type the Stock Group Name
3. Type the additional name different from group name (optional). You can create more than one name. It is mostlty used as nick name.
4. Specify the Group type, whether it is Primary Group or a Sub Group of another group, selecting from Under list.
5. Should quantities of items be added, select YES, in this option.
6. Press Ctrl+A, after submitting the details.
Now a Stock Group has created, we can create items under this group.
