In last tutorial we learned How to Create Stock Group in Tally Understanding of group creation plays a key role in Stock item creation. Stock items are things, we manufacture, sale, purchase and services we provide.
There are two methods of Stock item creation in Tally ERP.p.

How to Create Stock Item in Tally
Follow to below steps to Create item in tally:
1. From home Screen Gateway of Tally Select Inventory Info.
2. Now Select Stock Item ( Or Press I)
3. Select Create (Or Press C).
4. Enter the item Name { Whatever you are trading in (Jupiter Classic BSVI)}
5. Enter Alias name, it can be nick/short name. (optional)
6. Select the Group name under which this item can be specified. We can create new group by pressing alt+C.
7. Select the Category of item.
8. Select the Unit of measure to count the stock items.
9. If item is taxable, Select GST Applicable “Applicable“
10. Set/alter GST details. YES and fill the required fields.
11. Select type of Supply, whether it Goods or Service.
12. Select the Opening Qty.
13. Type the Rate of the item.
14. Press Enter to Save.
