There are two methods to make excel file password protected:
First
1. Open the Excel Sheet.
2. Click on Save As.
3. Go to Tools at the bottom of the window.
4. Go to General Options.
5. Set the password here of your choice.
Second
1. Open the Excel file.
2. Select File from left top.
3. Click on Info>Protect Workbook
4. Select Encrypt with Password.
5. Type and confirm the Password by re writing the password of your choice.
